Waitin' to talk to our Rampage man, John - best host EVERRR R r rR r R Rr rRr - thanks John!

So. This is a very tricky news update to write, because I have a lot that I want to communicate without becoming too gushy or verbose, which I do have a tendency to do! I will do my best to keep it simple. We have been having a very bumpy process with the comic as of late, most specifically that I have been wickedly unhappy with my work. This comic means the world to me, it represents 6 years of careful work, and to see my contributions to it falling flat is very frustrating. Therefore, I've made a very hard decision for any creator to make, especially when dealing in a comic format - I am going to redo it at a comfortable pace. Surely, in the comic industry, this term means "no hope of deadlines", and of course, that is an accurate description. I cannot guarantee when or how often we will be updating while redoing these pages to my liking. However! Now that you have the bad news, let me give you some good news.

O31 will be going through some major changes in order to prepare for print! Our target is to have an issue ready by 2011, but you know, it will happen when it happens. While we work on revisions, we will update concept art or other tidbits whenever we have a chance so as to let you guys know that we are still alive, but the pages, for now, will be remaining offline. We recognize O31 as a passion project and not a professional project, and thus, it demands different things as far as time, dedication, and presentation.

However! A glance to your right will reveal that Nancy, co-writer and colorist, is indeed undertaking a professional project that you can look forward to, Casey also has new solo endeavors he wants to attempt in this coming year and 2011, and if I can properly schedule myself and conquer my insecurities, I also have a solo work that I would like to attempt as a professional undertaking. For those who don't know, I have also been picked up as a co-writer for another comic project helmed by Delia Barrio which is preparing for an online launch!

I want to take another opportunity to thank all of the readers, which are far more numerous than we ever expected. If we only had one of you guys we'd still be pretty tickled. We realize that O31 is not for everybody, and has some unique pacing and takes patience in order to pull off, and for that reason, we salute you guys! If you are really itching for regular updates and something more crafted for an audience's enjoyment, I'd recommend keeping an eye out here for announcements on the solo projects, but until then, we'll be checking back in soon with some concept updates as soon as we can!
Haha well if you came from Amy's blog post first let me clarify that I have no idea what constitutes a professional project; not in terms of webcomics, anyway, as there's this odd cross-section of uncertainty. Are professionals the ones doing this for a living, the ones that have success, or simply the ones who update according to whenever they say they will? Someone tell me the model for "professional" and I'll get back to you on whether or not I match it.

That being said, yes, I am working on stuff. Besides a project of my own, which I hope to start having in some sharable form this Summer or Fall (that is becoming more and more a pipe dream, but I AM working on it), I am also still a part of a Comic Tournament on deviantArt; round three just started in fact. You can check out the concept, world building and other miscellany for the former project along with my efforts to not lose the contest at my own dA profile.

I think in regard to O31, Amy has worded everything perfectly. You will hopefully hear from us again, and us from you, sooner rather than later.

I know it's for a good cause, but all this homework has been making me lethargic towards drawing. :c

Ah, comicking. *u* When will spellcheck recognize "comicking" and "spellcheck" as valid words? http://twitpic.com/2lmbyn

B'awwwww the whole house smells like oniiooooons...I can taste them everywhere. TTATT

Feeling really invigorated today! Better make the best of it.

Maaaaaaan post-meal laziness, how do you do.

I just got back from an engagement party that was secretly a wedding. I was brilliantly late for the ceremony, but on time for dinner.

lottery:I just stumbled onto this blog and it is a well written read, a little bit on the long end of the read but pretty satisfactory one.

While we do appreciate feedback, I will be turning off comments for the remainder of this post. Anything you'd like to relay to us - negative or positive - please feel free to e-mail us. Thank you!

WhatTheHell:If you want to make me "incessantly happy" you could try not taking off for an indeterminate amount of time, again, to "redo" the ENTIRE comic. Words fail to describe my disappoinment.

Tired:I think that you are being unrealisticly critical of your lovely work, and unfair to your loyal readers. I will not be among them when you return. Good bye, & good luck.

Amy:We really, REALLY appreciate the sentiments, guys! Seriously, I am proud every day that we have so many supportive and encouraging readers, and I hope we can make you incessantly happy in the near future!

Sominous:"Professional" work should come first. I'm never satisfied with my art so I understand that too. Good luck with the solo projects.
